# How do I check the headers/raw source of an email?

Being able to check the raw headers of an email can be incredibly useful when troubleshooting. Headers contain all sorts of details about a message's security, composition, and even the journey it takes from point A to point B.

Our Support agents may sometimes ask you to give us the raw source or headers of an email to help them solve email issues. Below are a few methods for obtaining headers in some popular mail clients.
