# Link branding

*Marketing*. Change the domain for open and click tracking links to your domain.

As email authentication relies on the [domain name system (DNS)][dns], the domain that sends an email message or the links to which its content point matters.

[Spam filters][spam-filter] and recipient servers review links within email messages. They base the trustworthiness of the email message on the [reputation][ers] of the domain of the message and its links. When you [implement link labeling][link-branding], email deliverability improves as you track clicks through your domain.

> You might encounter the term *whitelabel*. The term *link branding* replaces that term and eliminates any potential racial or cultural connotations associated with the earlier term.
