# IP address warmup

*Email Deliverability*. The establishment of a [reputation][ers] as a legitimate email sender through the gradual and regular increase in the volume of email sent from one [IP address][ip]. This requires using a [dedicated IP address][dedicated-ip] instead of a shared IP address.

When evaluating you as a [trusted sender][trusted-sender], ISP [spam filters][spam-filter] look at volume as a significant factor.
