# Feedback loop

*Reputation*. A process where an service provider forwards emails reported as spam to a sender for removal.

Some inbox providers notify the email sender that a recipient flagged an email message as [spam][]. If your [email service provider (ESP)][esp] doesn't remove the reporting recipient from your [contact list][list] on your behalf, you must. Failing to do so damages your [email reputation][ers].
