# Delivery

*Email Deliverability*. A confirmation that an end recipient received the email that the sender had sent.

When a receiving email server accepts a request of a sent email, an email system records a delivery.

If the receiving email server marks an email message as delivered, the ISP didn't defer the message.

This doesn't guarantee that the message reached the recipient's inbox. [Spam filters][] might still route the accepted email message to a [spam folder][].
