# End-of-life for Flex UI versions

End-of-life (EOL) status indicates when a specific version of Flex UI is no longer supported by Twilio. Once a version reaches its EOL date, Twilio doesn't provide any further changes to that version, including new functionality, bug fixes, or security updates. If you continue to use an EOL version of Flex UI, it may not work as intended, and you may encounter issues that customer support can't address.

To avoid potential disruptions, we encourage you to turn on automatic updates for minor versions. Once updates are automatic, your Flex UI instance is always on a [supported or maintained version](/docs/flex/how-we-release-flex#release-lifecycle), so EOL disruptions won't impact you.

## Recommended: turn on automatic updates for minor versions

1. Go to your [**Flex UI versions** page](https://console.twilio.com/us1/develop/flex/settings/ui-versions). This page shows you which version of Flex UI you're using.
2. Under **Automatically update UI versions**, turn on **Update minor versions**.
3. Optionally, select the **Be first in line** option to receive minor versions as soon as they're available.

## Monitor EOL dates and update manually

If you don't turn on automatic updates, you'll need to manually monitor when your version will reach EOL. You can check which Flex UI version you're using and update to a new version on your [**Flex UI versions** page](https://console.twilio.com/us1/develop/flex/settings/ui-versions). Be sure to update Flex UI to a supported or maintained version before your version's EOL date.
