# Turn on language selection for agents (Public Beta)

## Overview

Turn on language selection to give agents the option to set their Flex UI display language. When you turn on this setting, agents have a [**Select language**](/docs/flex/end-user-guide/change-display-language) option under their user profile.

## What text is localized?

* This setting affects the display language for the base Flex UI and [Twilio Flex plugins](https://flex-plugins-library.twilio.com/).
* It doesn't affect Twilio Console or the Flex Admin dashboard.
* Custom plugins can be localized with additional configuration. See [Localize a plugin](/docs/flex/developer/plugins/localize-a-plugin) for instructions to render plugin text in a different language.

## Turn on language selection

1. From the Flex [**Admin** dashboard](https://flex.twilio.com/admin), click **Features** and then click the **Beta** tab.
2. Turn on **Language selection**.
