Most of this page refers to v1 of the Content API. Updates to a content template affect only future messages that use the template. Previously sent messages remain unchanged. You can't edit content submitted for WhatsApp approval or change the language. With [Twilio Alarms](/docs/messaging/guides/debugging-tools#custom-alerts), you can receive webhook or email notifications when these events occur. Alerts for approved templates are available as a beta feature.
