## Description

The status provided in a request to update Hosted Number Order instance cannot be applied to the current Hosted Number Order state.

### Possible causes

* Trying to update a Hosted Number Order that has been completed or failed.
* Trying to update the status of a Hosted Number Order to a status that cannot be user-initiated.

### Possible solutions

* If a Hosted Number Order is in a terminal state (failed or completed), create a new instance.
* If a Hosted Number Order is in "action-required" state, reach out to support to remediate.
